THANK YOU TO ALL OUR DONORS!
COVID-19 Protocols Status Update
In-Person Saturday Shabbat Services Return
It is with great joy we share with you the news that Gesher L’Torah will resume Saturday services in the sanctuary with Rabbi Bernstein and a limited number of attendees beginning immediately!
As you know, four weeks ago the community COVID-19 rates in our area dropped to a level that enabled us to move to Phase 1 of our protocols (the entire protocol document can be read below) and begin having outdoor Friday services with up to 20 people on the pavilion. With the successful execution of that phase and the continuing positive news on COVID-19 infection rates, we are now able to move to Phase 2, which will allow us to once again worship together at GLT on Saturday mornings.
Since the health and safety of our congregants, your families and our staff are of the utmost importance, certain guidelines will be in place to help stop the spread of COVID-19 during services:
This approach puts GLT in line with several Atlanta-area synagogues, with maximum attendance numbers determined by how many socially-distanced people may safely fit in the available spaces.
Friday services will continue to be held on the pavilion for the immediate future with RSVPs taken only by emailing or calling the GLT office. Children of any age are now allowed to attend those services as well, again with parental supervision required.
We are very excited to be able to once again gather in the Kramer Sanctuary for Shabbat services. The Reopening Committee will consider moving into Phase 3 after at least two successful weeks operating under these protocols in conjunction with continued stable or improving data points for the state and the nearby area.
We look forward to sharing our sacred space with you very soon!
