With the revision in policy by the CDC last week, the Gesher L'Torah Reopening Committee has determined that mask-wearing will now be optional for vaccinated persons at GLT services and events.
The CDC has developed a new data tool that combines the level of healthcare burden and disease spread in communities to determine what sort of COVID-19 precautions should be taken. According to this tool, our area is classified at a low level of risk and therefore recommends that it is not necessary for everyone to remain masked in an indoor setting.
Please note that masks are still required to be worn by those who are not vaccinated. In order to help us maintain a healthy environment and protect our most vulnerable members, please refrain from coming to services or events if you are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 or have a recent close exposure to someone that is COVID-19 positive. Services will continue to be streamed for those that wish to attend virtually.
The mask policies for our preschool and religious school students and staff are determined separately and will be communicated to them by the GLT Education Department.
We very much look forward to seeing your smiling faces at Gesher L'Torah in the near future!
